
Saint Kilian, Bishop, and Martyr c. b. 640 ~~~ +++++++ ~~~ Many details of Saint Kilian’s earthly life have fallen into legend or been lost entirely to the passing of time. Saint Kilian was an Irish monk who was consecrated bishop. In 686, he and eleven companions traveled to Rome where they received permission from Pope Conon to evangelize Franconia.
