| Martyrs of China 1648–1930 ~~~ +++++++ ~~~ The blood of the martyrs truly is the seed of the Church. The Church celebrates the Martyrs of China, 120 men, women, and children who gave their lives for Christ between 1648 and 1930. Among these saints, 87 were native Chinese, and 33 were foreign missionaries. Most were killed during the Boxer Rebellion of 1900.
