Saint Julia
d. 439

Saint Julia was born into an aristocratic family in the city of Carthage.

When the city was besieged by the Vandals, Gaiseric, King of the Vandals, took her from her family and sold her into slavery. She was sold to a pagan merchant named Eusebius. Despite her circumstances, she maintained a deep love for God and a commitment to prayer.

Eusebius took her on a journey to Gaul. Unbeknownst to Julia, Eusebius brought her to an idolatrous festival. After refusing to sacrifice to the pagan gods, she was crucified.

Now she reigns with Christ forever in heaven.
